United way of North Carolina
The United Way of North Carolina is a member-supported, state organization whose purpose is to serve the 58 local United Way organizations in our state through:
- Implementation of 2-1-1, a health and human services referral service
- Statewide coordination of the State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC)
- Advocacy on behalf of health & human services issues in the North Carolina
General Assembly - Networking and training events for staff and volunteers
- Technical and consultative services such as board orientations, assistance with needs assessments, etc.
- Manage state set-aside funds that support the Emergency Food and Shelter Programs through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
- Help local United Ways coordinate services following disasters
- Serve as administrator for governor sponsored statewide disaster relief funds
- Recognize outstanding local United Way campaign efforts through “Spirit of NC” awards process.

- A Calendar is shown in the left side of the home page which will show all the events which are registered and also users can register events.
