Image Based Lock

An extra layer of protection in the smartphone using images based pattern selection lock. The security was enforced using the SHA1 based encoding. The hashes generated were to be stored in the system keystore, accessing which needed something other than a straightforward approach. Also required was dedicated lock for individual apps.

An android app with no back-end dependency that came in free and premium versions was made. The lock was further strengthened by implementation of shuffled image grids along with varying grid sizes and image segmentation.
